Dr Apamu Jacques Mapele qualified as a medical doctor and graduated MBCH. As early as during his secondary school and undergraduate studies, he was passionate about children and their well-being. After working for a time in a regional hospital in department of paediatrics in South Africa. He completed his Diploma in HIV management and then proceeded to complete the Fellowship in Paediatrics at the College of Medicine of South Africa. He also completed a Master in Medicine Degree looking into an audit of culture-proven neonatal sepsis a tertiary
